About the Practice.
A.D.M.S was founded by the late Ivan Loughlin in 1990. Through
founding sound principles in meeting client demand, along with
satisfying statutory regulations, Mr. Loughlin laid a solid reputation
for quality service in the architectural field.
The practice, since Ivan’s passing in 2004, has now become a fully
chartered RIBA practice, under the directorship of David Graham,
Esther Loughlin and Gregory Loughlin. Fully updated technology resources and quality
assurance procedures have been implemented within the practice,
combining with an already established personalised approach to all
projects undertaken.
ADMS Architects has undertaken a broad spectrum of work, ranging from
small bespoke private domestic extensions, to larger commercial,
health care, industrial and retail designs. We are continually rising
to meet greater challenges. Currently, the single largest project
involves a £4m nursing home expansion.
At ADMS we can offer advice as to the
implementation of environmentally friendly technologies within
building design. Working closely with our energy consultants we are
constantly striving to deliver reduced Co2 emissions from our
completed buildings. Sustainability is addressed on each project
individually, thus recognising the recent issue of the Governments
Environmental policy.
Practice Philosophy.
Our aim is to meet our client’s needs
in the most pragmatic, financially viable and simple way possible. In
doing so we will strive to produce a design-led solution that will
create spaces that will be both practical and enjoyable to the user.
Architecture should be adaptable to
it’s surroundings, responsive to it’s users, compliment it’s
contextual setting, improve the well-being of those that it encloses,
and be as ecologically sympathetic to the environment as possible.
Through establishing firm architect –
client relationships, and fully understanding their requirements, we
endeavour to provide solutions that will keep client, statutory bodies
and ourselves as designers satisfied.
